CHUMPHON ATTRACTION

Chumphon is the channel to the southern of Thailand. There are plenty of beautiful and long beaches and a well preserved natural environment that cannot be found in other provinces. Furthermore, there are many interesting attraction such as the islands, mountains, waterfalls and caves that you can touch.

The charming mainland beaches include Had (beach) Sai Ree, Had Pharadonphap, Had Pha Daeng (Red Cliff Beach), Had Tung Wua Lan, Had Arunthai, etc. Had Sai Ri is the famous location of the Prince Chumphon shrine, the founder of the Thai Navy. Besides, there are many branches of the shrine on the beach in Chumphon. Had Arunothai is long and quiet but it’s the peaceful place that is appropriate for camping.

More attractions are many islands in Chumphon National Marine Park. There are consisting of Koh Samet, Koh Mattra, and Koh Ngam Noi, Koh Ngam Yai, Koh Thoong Lang, Koh Rat, Koh Chorake (Crocodile Island), Koh Lanka Chiu, etc. Most of these islands have bird nest that are valuable and popular for Chinese. Visitors can be allowed to visit the islands and see the nest collecting process by the concession company. Many islands are suitable for snorkeling and scuba diving.
