Prince Chumphon Monument

The Monument consists of Prince Chumphon's shrine, real warship that was out of order and moved to Had Sai Ri.

The shrine is located on the hill in Had Sai Ree. Prince Chumphon is the founder of the forms of Thai Navy, named him as the Father of Thai Navy. He is respected by the navy, fishermen, and others. Most of houses in Chumphon have his picture for prosperity.

Furthermore, there is herbal garden that is preserved by the Ministry of Public Health in order to inherit of Prince Chumphon who was studied in traditional medicine to cure people

Visitors can observe the lifestyle of the local fishermen on this quiet beach.. Koh Tao, the premier diving area in the Gulf of Thailand is directly to the east with Arunothai providing the closest access point on the mainland and is closer to Koh Tao than the usual point of departure which is Koh Samui. Nearby is Paknam Tako- an estuary where local fishermen live and from where they depart for their daily trips into the Gulf.
